Day book recording the operations of a general store run by Louis Sanders in Horry County; majority of entries record sales in "Conwayboro" but Sanders' accounts include customers residing in Socastee, and locations identified as "Turpentineville" and "Sandersville." Items sold include articles of clothing and other dry goods, eating utensils, fruits and vegetables, farming implements, foodstuffs, rum, brandy, candles, nails, salt, soap, rope, umbrellas, matches, chickens, combs, tea, candy, gun powder, fish hooks, tobacco, sugar, whiskey, coffee, molasses, cheese, turpentine, and lye; Sanders' customers included both white and African-American residents of Horry County.
